It Was So Cold I Kept My Shoes And Socks On!

Within my recent hectic work schedule i managed a quick trip out with the camera. I was looking to grab some nice sunset shots but the clouds came over and it just got rather dull without that blaze of colour we all love so much.

I’d also wanted to try and grab some nice nudes with the sunset behind. Despite the dullness i decided to try for some anyway.
It was barely above freezing point, you can see a little snow around me and on the distant hills. There was also a very strong cold wind to add quite a reasonable chill factor, but that was never going to put me off.
So here i am on Stanage Edge in the Peak District in Derbyshire, after everyone else had left, catching a little of natures cold weather on my body. It was so cold on those rocks that i kept my shoes and socks on, but otherwise quite refreshing.

About PurpleT

Much of my photography is art and documentary. I try to capture a scene as i see it in my mind, whether that be black and white, colour, or somewhere in between. I try to make an interesting, and/or attractive image from what i see around me, not just what would be expected, but also subjects that would be seen boring, mundane, or ugly by many. But they all have an interest as art photography. I have also spent nearly twenty years working as a life model, then the human figure in art is very important to me, and is something i try to bring into my work at times.
