Giant Dandelions…..probably

Whilst out on a walk with my mate Yvette and her daughter we spotted these delightful things. I think they’re giant dandelions as they appear the same, but i’m not an expert and if they’re something else then please correct me.
They’re really lovely. I’ve seen them before but never had the chance to get photos of them until today.

About PurpleT

Much of my photography is art and documentary. I try to capture a scene as i see it in my mind, whether that be black and white, colour, or somewhere in between. I try to make an interesting, and/or attractive image from what i see around me, not just what would be expected, but also subjects that would be seen boring, mundane, or ugly by many. But they all have an interest as art photography. I have also spent nearly twenty years working as a life model, then the human figure in art is very important to me, and is something i try to bring into my work at times.

  2. This is a seed head of “jack goes to bed at noon” , it has another name too, possibly goat’s beard? Very photogenic. The noon bit refers to it closing its petals up I think. Never seen the flower, only seed heads. Preserved one for a while to photograph it a lot!

Thanks for this Nicky. I’ll be keeping my eye out for any in flower when out on my wanders. They look really pretty.
